Themenreise Provence & Luberon

Bonjour Provence ! Themenreise Provence & Lubéron Eine  Reise für die Sinne. Entdecken Sie die schönsten Dörfer und Orte im Naturpark Luberon.

Tag 1: Anreise am Sonntag. Bezug der Zimmer im Landhaus. Bei einer Partie Boule und einem Begrüßungsaperitif Besprechung des Ausflugsprogramms. Abendessen.

 

Tag 2: Frühstück. Besuch des Wochenmarktes in Cavaillon. Anschließend geht es nach Avignon, wo wir an einer kommentierten Führung des Papstpalastes teilnehmen. Die Departement Hauptstadt lädt anschließend zu einem Bummel durch die engen Gassen und einer Besichtigung der berühmten Brücke Saint Bénézet ein. Rückfahrt ins Mas und Abendessen.

Provence & Yoga

Yoga will help you gain energy while relaxing. Let the charm of Yoga come over you as you take lessons in a Provençal mas complete with swimming-pool and garden. Lessons are given by a certified German Yoga teacher.

Day 1 : You'll be shown to your bedroom on arriving, and then invited to join us downstairs for a few sips of local non alcoholic apéritif drinks while discussing the week's programme and trying a few shots at pétanque (the local bowl game). Vegetarian dinner will be served.

Day 2 to 6 : Mornings : Meeting at 7 am for breathing and meditation exercises.

The Yoga lesson starts at 8 before a copious breakfast is served at 9.30.

From 11 am, you'll be able to take part in a workshop or a conference around various Yoga-related themes :

  • Introduction to Yoga and meditation
  • Yoga and food
  • Cooking together in accordance with Yoga principles
  • Yoga movements and positions
  • The 8 stages of Yoga Raja - Yamas and Niyamas
  • Mantras and Kirtan

A snack will be served around 1 pm.

Afternoons : We now have sufficient time to offer personalised activities. A half-hour's Yoga or Reiki, to be scheduled with your teacher, is included in the total price. The rest of the day is free.

 

Evenings : You'll be cooking vegetarian meals and enjoying them together.

 

Around 21.30, we'll have one last meditation session together every night.

 

Day 7 : You'll be starting  on the trip home after breakfast.

Provence and wines

Discover and taste the best vintages on the Côtes du Rhône Villages wine road.

 

Day 1 : You'll be shown to your bedroom on arriving, and then invited to join us downstairs for a few sips of local apéritif drinks while discussing the week's programme and trying a few shots at pétanque (the local bowl game). Dinner will then be served.

 

Day 2 : After breakfast, you'll be going on an excursion to the villafges of Gigondas and Vaqueyras, famours for their spicy, full-bodied red wines. A little hike in the Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range is then on schedule. In the afternoon, enjoy the wine-tasting session with simultaneous commentary. Back to the mas for dinner.

 

Day 3 : After breakfast, you'll be visiting the Pont du Gard, the world's best preserved Roman aqueduct. You'll then be headed to Tavel, a village that boasts the best rosé wine in France, a fruity nectar that Louis XIV himself was fond of ! Try it for yourself.  Then back to the mas for dinner.

 

Day 4 : After breakfast, join the ride to Suze-la Rousse, where a half-day seminar is awaiting you at the Wine University, in a beautiful 12th century castle. We'll then be driving back to the mas for dinner.

 

Day 5 : After breakfast, we're off to Saint-Rémy de Provence, at the foot of the Alpilles mountain. Enjoy your walk around this colourful little town and as you discover Nostradamus' house and hear the story of Vincent Van Gogh there. I the afternoon, you'll be tasting wines on a biological estate nearby. We'll then be heading back to the mas for dinner.

 

Day 6 :  After breakfast, your next destination is the walled city of Avignon, with its impressive medieval history, city walls, Saint-Bénézet bridge and Palace of the Popes, both Unesco-labeled and in a remarkable condition.  Châteauneuf-du-pape is our next stop to taste the region's (and one of the world's) most prestigious wines. We'll then drive back to the mas in anticipation of the evening's gastronomical tasting experience in a Saint-Rémy de Provence restaurant.

 

Day 7 : After breakfast, back to Weinheim.

PROVENCE ALL-IN-ONE !

For those who do not want to miss out on any of Provence's hot spots.

Day 1 : Forward trip. Arrival on Sunday afternoon

Day 2 : After breakfast, you' ll visit the city of Avignon with its famous bridge and Palace of the Popes. (audioguide provided). Shopping and strolling in the afternoon.

Day 3 : After breakfast at the mas, you'll go on an excursion to the Baux de Provence  at the heart of the Alpilles and walk around the medieval town. Your next visit will be the Cathédrale d'Images, an old limestone quarry that was dug into a cliff and whose white walls are now the sene of giant slide-show exhibitions (Australia is now on show after last year's Picasso event).

Day 4 : After breakfast, you'll browse through one the best weekly food markets in the region, in Saint-Rémy, and buy ingredients for the dinner you'll be cooking yourself in the late afternoon under the guidance of a French chef. Before that, you'll have explored the ruins of the Roman city of Glanum and tasted biological wine.

Day 5 : Luberon, its enthralling villages and local crafts and produce... After breakfast, we'll drive through the Luberon mountains dotted with hillside villages, stop at various spots and taste local specialities. Cavaillon (twinned with Weinheim in Germany), Robion (known for its fruit jams) Lacloste, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Gordes (honey).You'll wind up the day with a visit to Roussillon and its celebrated ocre cliffs.

Day 6 : After breakfast, we'll be off to L'Isle sur Sorgue, the Provençal Venice whose antiquarians have acquired worldwide fame.You'll then go for a walk up to the Fontaine de Vaucluse spring and torrent and make a stop at the old papermill museum. In the evening, you'll be invited to a wine-tasting session  combined with a five-course dinner in a vaulted cellar specially reserved for you.

Day 7 : After breakfast, we'll start on the trip back home. The arrival is scheduled in the late afternoon.
